What’s the Rush?
What’s the Rush Yoga Studio is owned and operated by Jason & Mindy Galbraith. Their vision is to create an environment where people can regain their sense of peace and their physical and mental health by taking time to slow down and feel the tremendous joy that comes with being alive. So often we find ourselves rushing to life’s next task, never really valuing and enjoying the thing we are doing now. Using the wonderful principles of yoga, it is their goal to teach the beauty of living in this moment, relieving the mind of worry and the body of stress so that life can be lived full of joy and abundance.

What is Yoga?
The practice of yoga brings stability and freedom as the body becomes light and flexible. The mind becomes clear as the heat of yoga burns through impurities stored in the fibers of the muscles. Yoga is a highly advanced science that aligns and strengthens the body using postures in stillness and flow. Yoga is not a religion; it is a useful way to gain body-mind awareness to enhance whatever spiritual/religious beliefs you have. Yoga is a system of powerful stress management using posture regulated breathing techniques to enhance oxygenation of the lungs and blood. A stressed body does not know how to relax. Therefore, we emphasize the workout aspect of yoga first so that the body can relax once the muscles have been worked and the bones properly aligned. This is why we feel so good after a yoga practice compared to an aerobics class. Stiff people need yoga as much as poor people need money. Here we have created a peaceful, noncompetitive environment so that students of any level of fitness can work at their own pace to progress and feel better. Nothing of consequence can be attained without effort. However, in yoga, all effort is balanced by the practice of nonviolence which opens the door to self exploration.

About Jason 
Jason has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, has been teaching for over 4 years and has achieved a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certificate through Ventura Yoga Studio in Ventura CA. He has had the privilege of being taught by three of the world’s most experienced and knowledgeable yoga teachers, Bryan Legere, Aadil Palkhivala, and Jehangir Palkhivala, all of whom have been taught by and studied yoga with B.K.S. Iyengar. Yoga is Jason’s life path and he continues to explore and educate himself in the art, the philosophy and the principles of this ancient practice. It is Jason’s intention to empower others to cultivate their ability to free themselves from the stresses of life and begin to live a life filled with joy and purpose.

Private Yoga Lessons with Jason 
 Private lessons taught by Jason Galbraith are a valuable approach for developing focused attention on individual needs. Whether your intention is to improve your health or simply improve your physical fitness through the practice of yoga, private lessons provide a format that allows you to explore the wonders of the physical self and to use this exploration to bring a sense of wholeness into your life. The goal of a private lesson is to empower an individual to grow and heal, and to assist in the development of a sound and practical home practice.
$50 per hour- by appointment only.
